Consolidating all the elements of CPE or SEC courses in preparation for a meeting with a Certification Committee is the focus of this workshop. This workshop will be beneficial for CPE students and SEC Candidates planning to pursue Board Certification, as well as Supervisor Educators and Training-Supervisors preparing their students for meetings with certification committees. Additionally, this workshop will emphasize the critical role of Certification Committee members in the process and how to interpret the rubrics required to meet certification standards. This interactive workshop will be participatory and designed to provide practical takeaways for every participant.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the evaluation rubric used in the certification process.
Understand how to be prepared and/or help others prepare for meeting with certification committee.
Explore key themes of chaplaincy and how to develop and present those themes in the certification process.

Beth serves as the Director of Spiritual Care, Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, AR. She is a Training Supervisor-Educator (TSE) with CPEI and is the CPEI Credentialing Committee Chair person.

Brian Schwammlein

Clinical Chaplain, Washington Regional

Brian is CPEI Board Certified chaplain at Washington Regional Medical Center and is a Candidate Supervisor-Educator.
